The famous console game GTA V is arriving to PC after a long wait. It has not been officialy confirmed yet, but Thiago Diniz, the chief executive officer at Nuuvem, said his company got a confirmation about the fifth instalment of the Grand Theft Auto game. According to Thiago, we will see the game released for PC on March 12, 2014.
The rumour wouldn’t be half as exciting if a customer service representative at Amazon hadn’t mentioned that same date previously. We have two people talking about the same date. While Amazon is well-known, Nuuvem is a fairly new social gaming platform based in Brazil. This could be their attempt to lure more gamers to their website, though it could drive more off if the rumour turns out to be a hoax.
GTA 5 has been released for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, and became the fastest selling entertainment product ever. The demand for a PC version grows by day. Fan’s petition reached over 651,000 signatures in a short time proving how much PC gamers want this title.
Rockstar has yet to announce whether they are even considering a PC version of GTA V. If they are, than their marketing strategy is amazing. No, it is not, as fans are growing impatient and disappointed by so much delay. Simple “yes we are working on the game”, or “no it won’t happen” doesn’t seem too much to ask. Same as with Bethesda and Fallout 4, they might be keeping fans in dark for too long. Other games are being released and enjoyed, they could lose loyal players over their silence.
So many gamers want this game without knowing if it will ever happen. Several info has leaked out lately. CinemaBlend leaked hints by saying that dumped data had been seen by examining a XML code on the console version.
This code showed blizzard weather which is not present in the console version of GTA V. Logic says that the game was meant for a platform with a higher-end hardware and it could only mean PC. In addition to the unseen weather, there was also a “common folder” which contained vehicles, weapons and actors that are supposed to be for the PC version.
You can sign the GTA V PC petition and see if it will change anything. Less than two months left to the rumoured release date.
