Razer aims to re-invent gaming desktops with its new, gorgeous PC concept. The company has been working on it for the last two years and finally revealed the best new toy at CES today. The project under codename Christine is a powerful quiet PC, with the best feature being easy-to-modify.
PC has always been the most open and most configurable gaming platform, though an average gamer could find it hard to upgrade the hardware. Only the biggest enthusiasts and skilled players dared to upgrade their PC so far. Shame really as PC has almost limitless options and upgrading a component such as RAM or a graphics card would give much higher performance.
Christine has been designed to change that as it will allow users to easily build and customize their PC gaming system. No technical knowledge is needed when it comes to this beauty, it’s almost like plug-and-play device. This is possible due to the modular design of Christine. Each module can be installed on-the-fly and it will be automatically synced by using the PCI-Express architecture.
You will be able to slot additional graphics modules and more storage in a same way as adding a DVD to the rack. Couldn't be simpler than that. Razer will revolutionize gaming PC that has been under-exploited for more than 30 years. To add some more features, as this wasn't good enough, the system will support multiple operating systems. Having more than one operating system is useful, you might want to use Linux for development and Windows for playing games. Or choose whichever combination you prefer.
Everyone was focused on Steam Machines and how pricey they will be, no one expected Razer to come out with such cool looking PC. Christine has no need for cables, we can finally have our bedroom floor clean without all those cables scrambled beneath our feet. It is also easy to clean, no dust will block coolers again.
Every module is self-contained and comes with an active liquid cooling accompanied by a noise cancelation. In this way, Razer can factory overclock the components without voiding warranties. The touch-screen LED control display is there to indicate control and maintenance information. We’re already in love with Christine!
