There is no game like Skyrim when it comes to modders. They brought us thousands of hours of enhanced gameplay, and most notably some epic quests that add more challenge to the game. If it weren’t for modders we would never get to visit legendary places of Tamriel such as Elsweyr, the home of Khajjit, or enjoy The Cheese of Ages which is filled with fun. These quests will bring numerous hours of joy in Skyrim.
The mod for rebuilding Helgen, the very place you have seen when starting the game. It was destroyed in the prologue, when you were set free and thanks to the mod it can be rebuilt again. Recruit your own town guard, learn the legend of The Keepers of Hattu and uncover a slavery ring. Many adventures are featured within Helgen Reborn and once the town has been built you will get your own private tower. It comes complete with the most interactive and dynamic display museum in Skyrim. At least 4 hours of gameplay, with an amazing story and interesting characters.
Undeath takes player on a quest to defeat a powerful necromancer and his followers. The forbidden secret of immortality has to be protected, or it could threaten Skyrim and its people. Take the journey through a unique storyline that will take you to the peaks of the Dragontail Mountains and beyond. Uncover plans for an unholy ritual and defeat Necromancer. Learn about the forbidden knowledge and choose what to do with it. Embrace it and become a horrifying undead Lich, or ignore it and continue on the righteous path.
Adal Matar the Lost Stronghold
Fight against the Thalmor, elven supremacists seeking to end the Empire and eradicate the worship of Talos, and explore a new storyline that leads to the Adal Madar the lost Orcish Stronghold. The mod features hours of enhanced Skyrim gameplay, with 14 new wilderness zones, 3 new dungeons, new Stronghold Player House and 2 marriageable Orc followers. Tons of great fun can be found if you travel to Eastmarch Imperial Camp, or find the hidden Thalmor Advanced Camp. Learn what these elves are planning and fight them on the way to Adal Matar.
The Hanging Gardens
The Hanging Gardens is set on a remote abandoned Dwemer island with focus on exploration of new surroundings, and of course a good old fight. The island has its own unique items and ingredients, buildings and few other elements that we won’t mention so not to spoil your gaming experience. Calcelmo will find you and hand a note, after you changed a location and completed his quest which requires you to kill Nimhe. You have to be level 25 and it is well worth doing Calcelmo’s quest to be able to travel to Dwemer island.
Research Thief is one of those quests that were for some reason left unfinished by Skyrim developers. These can be viewed by opening the console or Creation Kit and thanks to modders we can enjoy storylines that would otherwise collect dust. With this mod you will experience a small side quest set within College of Winterhold. Nirya wants you to steal the research notes of her rival Altmer, Faralda. Although it might seem like somewhat boring quest, upon completion you will win a favour of either Faralda or Nirya, meaning they become marriageable.
Hours of new gameplay can be enjoyed with these mods and there are thousands others making sure we never get bored of Skyrim.
