Zynga Slowing Mafia Wars Game Play?

As you may be aware, Zynga are doing their best to slow players down in Mafia Wars. Some scripts are in fact ruining the "strange but mutual relationship" scripts such as MWAP and SPOCK have with Zynga.

Scripts that Kill us

For those doubters, there are scripts out there that do nothing more than totally isolate the scripting community and place an overload on Zynga servers, which in return forces Zynga into action to reduce game play.

We have to face facts, the resources for Mafia Wars is not what it was at one time. Our own scripts, such as RX6 MWAP and Wall Scrubber work within an "unofficial agreed speed" Zynga "accept".

No Rumour, Zynga is on the War Path

It is NO rumor that Zynga are going to be doing all that they can to go after scripts that do nothing but pin players down with constant attacks with a speed that does nothing but overload their systems.

People may argue, Zynga should give more resources. I don't disagree, but Mafia Wars is no longer the "cash cow" it once was. Like any business, decisions have to be made.

PlayerScripts - 3 years and still going

We, PlayerScripts, have been coding MWAP for nearly three years -- for the last two years we have worked hard to ensure we don't break this unofficial, unpublic knowledge of speed and overload.

For the last month we have been working harder to overhaul MWAP turning it in RX6 - yes faster, but not breaking the overload speed. And yes, RX6 is paid membership.

Are you helping Zynga Slow down our Game Play?

So, if you are using scripts that constantly attack at a speed that seems fantastic -- you are indeed only creating more pressure on Zynga to slow the game down and in truth, contributing to the future slowness of Mafia Wars.

People here may go on about, well Zynga should fix the bugs (blah blah) --- they would have more time to do that, if they were not constantly having to adjust and code and steady the speed at which some scripts just overload and take all of their resources up.
